Physical models can never be completed in the same way. Depending upon the condition of production, such as scale, size, color, material, the completed models largely change its appearances. In making physical model, therefore, there is always a huge difficulty for the first customers to imagine the last model they can have.
The conventional process of physical model making is:
1. Consulting
2. Preparing Data (Model-parts drawing in AutoCad)
3. Laser Cutting
4. Assembling
5. Painting
6. Finishing
In this process, people are not able to visualize the final model until the end of the step 4. Assembling. Also, for physical model makers, it takes significantly large time to modify parts after finishing the assemblage - if there is a large change, the completion date would be delayed.
In resolving these unfavorable situations for both clients and physical model makers, we simultaneously make 3D data of the final model through the step 2 in order for clients to visually confirm the output of the production. And this allows for three large advantages through the whole process;
1. Visualization: Easily confirming the shape with clients
2. Efficiency: Saving large time of Q&A regarding drawings
3. Risk Management: Reducing amount of parts to be modified and avoid delaying completion

Also, we have been exploring to utilize the latest technology in order to solve the difficulty in dealing with the complexity of architectural forms in physical model field. Our recent installment of 3D printer allows us to dynamically shape these complex surface models from international clients.
